Our Heritage
Our home is Trenton, NJ. From here we serve local and national companies, providing corrugated boxes and packaging solutions. We’re proud of our heritage and the history of Trenton. Dating back to 1679 the town adopted the name Trent-towne in 1719, after William Trent. The name was eventually shortened to Trenton and on November 25, 1790 became the capital of New Jersey.
William Trent was one of the city’s primary landowners and a prominent merchant from the region. A former navy captain, serving alongside George Washington, William Trent was promoted to Major during the French and Indian War. He used his capabilities as a merchant to effectively develop trading networks with Native Americans. The Trent family coat of arms depicts crossed swords and rosettes on a red and white placard with a left-facing knight’s helm above.
In homage to our heritage and the namesake of Trenton, the Trent family’s knight’s helm proudly adorns our logo. Facing left, the helmet represents protection and the knight’s symbolism reinforces our standards of reliability, diligence, and modesty.

The history of Trenton Corrugated
Marine Corps pilot Tony Pecoraro and his wife, Helen, founded Trenton Corrugated Products in 1971. They started in a rented 2,000 sq. ft. room with a razor knife, a screwdriver and a lot of hard work. Their dedication helped the company steadily grow over the last 50 years.
Fast forward to today, Cheryl and Ian Bernstein purchased Trenton Corrugated Products in 2019. Driven by a vision to become an entrepreneur, Ian recognized the opportunity in the corrugated box industry. Corrugated demand continues to grow, fueled by e-commerce trade and a groundswell of demand for packaging alternatives that are environmentally sustainable. Cheryl and Ian look forward to continuing to build the Trenton Corrugated brand while creating career opportunities for the local community.
